School Report 2017-18 “Education is not filling of a pail but lighting of a fire.” In all humility we bow before the omnipotent for the bountiful blessings that has helped this institution to grow in capacity, ability and commitment to society. St.Mary’s Elivalikkara comprises of 25 teaching staff and 6 supporting staff including bus drivers and assistants. Thanks to our Provincial Superior Sr. Mercy and councilors for the financial support. This year’s undertaking saw the completion of the 1st floor of the school building, providing enough class rooms, meeting the demand of the increasing number of students. Our garden is given a new look with modern structure, making it beautiful and attractive. We are happy that Electricity problem has been solved by the recently installed solar system, which provides enough power. Our 10th class examination results showed that our efforts are richly blessed. We are happy to say that our students participated in ‘All India Drawing, Handwriting and Essay competition 2017-18. The School received ‘Best School Award and seven of our students received ‘Kala Ratna Award’ conducted by ‘All India Citizens Development Centre Aurangabad’, “Lovely professional university, Punjab” conducted “Transforming Education Awards” and Our school received certificate of Appreciation and certificate of Achievement for teachers and students.
• School Assembly
Every week each class is given the responsibility of conducting the assembly. This helps them to display their communication skills and enhance their self-confidence and capacity for team work.
• Scholarship Exams
The school provides ample opportunities for the students to get exposed to various competitive exams. The following scholarship exams were held in the campus. DCL, Sathyadeepam, Gate @ school and Asika Handwriting. Seven of our students received Cash Award, Medal and Certificate.
• Charity Club
Charity club members try their level best to keep up the motto of our school. Students bring one extra meal for the old age home in Kanjirapally every Monday. The students voluntarily contribute to raise fund for the charity which will be utilized for the needy.
TOUR
Train journey was arranged for class V students who had not had the experience of train journey on 4th Nov 2017, accompanied by Sr. Rosemary, Mr. C.P. Mathew and Sr. Jency. An outing for teachers was held on 29th Dec to Ernakulam and all its surroundings. On 6th and 7th January a tour to Kodaikanal was arranged for senior students.
• CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Aiming at all round development of the individual Co-Curricular activities are given due importance in St. Mary’s campus. Every child who enters the threshold of this institution is introduced to any one of the activities such as Dance, Yoga and Karate.

Each celebration was allotted particular classes with their teachers giving them the opportunity to exhibit their talents. Annual Day: The Annual day celebration was very grand and it was appreciated by all. Cine-Artist Mr. Kalabhavan Prajod was the chief guest of the day. The first School Magazine “SOAR HIGH” was released by the Guest of Honour.
CONCLUSION
